10 minute make-up application

10 minute make up application

If you are like me, wanting to look your best every day, but don't have a lot of time in the mornings to apply make-up, then try out my 10 minute make-up application. I have perfected my make-up routine so it does just only take me 10 minutes in the morning. After cleansing with Aubrey cleanser for sensitive skin and toning I Start with the base, during the warmer months I use Dr Hauschka tinted foundation, it is simple to use and doubles up as a moisturiser as well as a foundation saving precious time. The Dr Hauschka tinned moisturiser gives a good coverage and I find a little goes a long way.  The easiest way to apply the tinted moisturiser, as it is slightly thick, is after toning your skin, apply the tinted moisturiser straight away, the toner helps spread the tinted moisturiser over the facial skin.  Leave to dry for a couple of minutes while deciding what make-up colours to wear. Apply an eyeshadow primer, this gives the skin on the eyelids a blank even canvas ready for painting your favourite eyeshadow colours and also helps the eyeshadow from creasing and stays put for longer. Keep your eye make-up look simple, use an eyeliner pencil along the lower lash inner rim of the eye and along a third of the inner rim of the upper lash line starting from the outer corner, if you have sensitive eyes do not draw the line on the inner rims, apply the pencil eyeliner close to the lash line and smudge the line.  5 minutes of the 10 minute makeup application has now passed. Just use two eyeshadow colours, one light and one darker, apply the lighter shade on the entire eye area, from lash line to brow line, then the darker colour on the movable eye lid right up to the crease, with your ring finger gently blend the edges of the darker eyeshadow with the lighter eyeshadow to avoid any harsh lines and extend a little way above the eye crease.  Apply mascara, I only apply the mascara to the top lashes as I find that applying mascara to the lower lashes makes the area underneath the eyes dark.  Apply blusher to the apples of the cheeks, use a lipstick like the new Lavera Beautiful lips, brilliant colour or benecos Natural Shiny lip colour as to me these lipsticks are a cross between a lip balm and a lipstick, so application is quick and simple.  And hey presto you’re done, the 10 minute make up application finished.
